Our client wanted to develop a state services portal with the ability to sync data from across the HHS ecosystem of services organizations, including SNAP Benefits, Child Protective Services, Child Support Services, the Justice System and others.

They came to us bearing solid research and high level strategies, but asked us to lead ideation and translate insights to actionable next steps. Our team delivered a purposefully crafted tangible solution & artifacts that would achieve intentional outcomes

  1. Ease the load on caseworkers, giving them the ability to rapidly understand an individual’s unique situation

  2. Enable caseworkers to create personalized action plans that account for a myriad of factors impacting an individual’s situation

  3. Support citizens by ensuring they have a clear path to finding financial wellness & security.

WHAT WE DID

In one week, we re-imagined a world where more connected government agencies could better serve its citizens, and created Panorama – A platform providing case-workers a panoramic view of an individual’s government interactions, benefits & services.

The client was so floored at the speed and quality of the outcome, they asked us to come on site, work arm-in-arm with their teams and teach them our approach, and the Helix Innovation Lab was born.
