Inventing a bespoke Design-Driven Agile process while building a new Design System from scratch
One of Fortune’s Top 3 Consulting firms had a problem: Their platform & products built for Health and Human Services wasn’t actually serving humans all that well.
This was a rare opportunity to transform an organization’s way of working with a healthy infusion of Human Centered Design. I’m proud of the deeply meaningful work my team accomplished in partnership with this client – we successfully re-imagined how city and state governments would leverage digital channels to better serve its most under-served citizens.
👥 Worked side-by-side with cross-functional leaders to iteratively develop an experimental methodology tightly integrating human-centered design with agile development practices.
🧬 Collaboratively created the Helix Design System that would support rapid development of an entirely new white-label product, which we validated with real users along the way.
💫 Scaled the design team from 2 to 6 designers, hired and trained a new Experience Director to run the lab, and exited leaving a successful operation in very capable hands.
